OOTD feat Asos

It’s been exactly 3 months since my last blog post, I do apologise, life just got in the way a bit. However, I am so shocked at the sheer number of views my little blog has had over my absence, and it’s totally spurred me on to update it, so thank you, whoever you lovely lot are!

The last few days have been beauuuuuutiful in the UK, summer has quite possibly arrived!

A couple of weeks ago I bought this crazy amazing wildlife print smock dress from Asos (£28.00), and I’ve been dying for the right weather to wear it! Seriously guys/animal lovers, check it out

This really is a statement dress, so I teamed it very simply with this wonderful mini satchel from Dorothy Perkins, unfortunately, they no longer seem to stock it, so I’ve linked you to one that it equally as lovely.

ootd6This day wasn’t particularly sunny, so a hat was perfect, and I swear by this Asos Boater hat (£13.50), it just takes the outfit up a style notch.

Eager beaver

This is my favourite time of year, the crisp morning air, the colour changes, jumpers, pumpkins, Halloween, fireworks, winter vegetables and wonderful wrapping paper.

My birthday is also popped in there 😉

So my thoughts have been drifting to Christmas Day, and more importantly, my Christmas Day outfit!

About 4 months ago, I bought a dress from Dorothy Perkins, it’s a beautiful dress, and it’s perfect for Christmas!

I am a very excited eager beaver, and thought id play around with the outfit and make up today.

The dress is such a wonderful winter dress, complete with pleats!

A simple black cardigan and a brown belt is perfect because the dress (or more importantly, the doily collar) is the show stopper.

Here’s a close up of the collar and the sleeves without the cardigan, the dress just keeps getting better and better right?!

How adorable are these shoes?! Tassels, felt and patent, and they’re heart shaped! £20 from Linzi.

For make up, I’m thinking, stick to the basics! Powder, a strong brow, blusher, mascara and eye liner and finished with a lush lip tint (this one is ‘it started with a kiss’)

I also recently cut my fringe back in, and my hair is in a messy bun, but I think this woks because otherwise, my hair would cover the collar!!

What do we think?! Am I getting too ahead of myself by already choosing my outfit for Xmas day…. Does anyone dress up like this, or just stay in their pjs all day?!

OOTD

Well, it’s official, Autumn in here (hooray!)

I love cosy nights, boots, snuggly jumpers, crunchy orange leaves and girls dying their hair ginger.

I wasn’t doing anything today, literally, nothing. No need for a fancy outfit today, but this is my perfect everyday look for these rare lazy days.

Make up is super simple, I’m surprised I even put mascara on really! (I really am that lazy)

Shirt; Vintage men’s shirt from charity shop £15.00
Leggings;  H&M £7.99
Boots; Debenhams £40.00
Jacket; Barbour £109.00
Beanie; Limited Collection at M&S £9.00

I will be putting up a post soon about my everyday make up, and some exciting news about a give away when I get to 100 followers!

Serious question…When is just way too soon to put up the Christmas tree?!

Made in Shopcade Heaven

Everyone loves Pinterest right? I know I do, but the only thing I would want, is a button that directly takes me to the site so I can buy all the pretty things I see…

That’s where Shopcade comes in. You click on a picture, and you can either ‘want’ it and add it to your homepage, or click ‘shop’ and it takes you straight to the item so you can buy it!

You can get up to 70% off womens and mens clothing, gifts, travel, events, tech, home and more!

I spent hours on here the first time I tried it, it’s so fun!

They have huge brand names, and hundreds of them.

You can accumulate points by adding items to your lists, other people liking the same items will also gain you points, it’s so easy, you don’t even have to do anything to get points- log in once a day and gain 50 points!

You can use your points to either personalise your homepage, or even use them to buy discounts on tonnes of big brands! For example, for 100 points, you can get free delivery at Kurt Geiger, or receive a free body butter from the Body Shop when you spend £5!

When you sign up, you are also given a ‘trend score’. The more people that follow you, or add your products, the better your trend sore is. Right now, for a trend score of 30, you can receive a pair of round sunglasses from Asos, or a £15 Addidas gift card!

The site will also let you know when your selected items are on sale and when cash back is available on them!

Seriously, everyone should at least check it out!

I saw the nicest Motel dress on there last night and I just had to have it! Shopcade told me the price and where to find it, and at the click of a button, took straight to the correct page. I often see dresses and love them and wonder where they’re from, I can spend a great length of time searching different sites for a particular item. This just takes all the guess work out of it!

topi_dress_red_daisy_front__90785__08571_stdThis baby is currently on it’s way to me!

A little tip, if you sign up to Motel’s newsletter, they will give you a code for £10 off! This dress was £40, but I got it for £30. They also do free UK delivery and returns and 25% off for students.

I will put up a new post when I receive the dress! It looks so lovely and summery, but would also look good with tights in the winter!
